The very first rant
Well.. I was facing a disgruntled Lizzie ranting over the fact that i've not posted anything on this blog that she has created for me. Therefore, this post.
Alright. It's not really because of Liz.. I have had a pretty "numb" week. A week whereby i really didn't feel like doing anything at all. It was as if my faith and knowledge of that faith got compressed to the point that it didn't matter anymore. I survived this week merely on the truth that my significance is the Lord's.
"I feel special because i am loved and i can love" - This brought me through. I was sharing at the W&M Meeting last sunday about vision-casting and there seem to be no hype at all within the members of the ministry. I thought i was throwing pearls to swine. However, something brought me back to thought. - How has W&M grown ever since i was around? Does it really matter what i did? Yes it does but the underlying significance is that God will do the rest. I only need to be faithful.
There was an article sent to me by Charissa He and it was talking about a man who was called to wake up daily and his one and only job/task was to push a rock. Yes. Literally push a rock.
He did this for a prolonged period of time and finally he laid on his bed asking himself, "what's the significance of all these days Lord?", he exclaimed, "I have been doing/achieving nothing apart from pushing a rock and it has not even moved an inch!?!"
God replied, "Look at you my son. You have grown so much stronger. The muscles and tone to your body. You have been faithful and i have made you stronger." He added, "No one ever told you the rock was going to move. You just have to push the rock."
We just have to do what we're told. That is faith. Not a foolish obedience which results in nothing but an end result that an omniscient God has established before you were born. Now, that thought reminds me of what i'm grumbling about. It's not about what i do and what has been done or the results that are being achieved.. It's just about a simple faith of exercising an obedience that humankind can never fathom. It's great depth that fools consider folly.
After all is said and done, there's more said than done. It's time to apply it. Let's do it!
