Reflection
I was sitting on an edge of a building reading and observing the actions of the people around me this particular night.
People walking around seeking for attention with odd-looking clothes either for product marketing or self proclamation of an identity crisis or projection of an idiosyncrasy that's intensely disturbing.
Snuffing of cigarettes worked like a mechanical arm round the bins. At some juncture, there was even a sort of a rhythm to it. A groove that's even feasible for consideration within melodies.
Couples exuding heat with some public display of affection.
Lonely souls with nothing to do loitering with boredom-filled thoughts.
A sheltered nation with hearts crying out to a void to fill the greater void within. When will they see the light? As i was tearing on my own, i thought to myself, "I'm still standing up the next day for what is right solely because i've found a great God." Have they found Him?
You're the God of this city.
Greater things have yet to come.
Greater things are still to be done in this city.
I stand here firm and upright.
With battles won and lost
Feeling the fatigue in my limbs but never faltering to wave my brandished sword
With a shield of arrows, i stand tall
Taller than when i first thought
A valiant warrior i've become
Facing challenges that none have come across
Still ever fighting, that war of old
A lifetime of fighting, an endless race
Oh, till i see Your face!
O Blessing and honour
Glory and power
Be unto the ancient of Days!
Nothing unknown nothing unseen
Nothing hidden nor left uncovered
For You Oh Lord, are the Almighty.
One thought to end the day, that the warrior grows as God grows.
In Him, through Him, with Him and in love with Him.
