Still Standing
As you began to stiffen into a void,
I felt your love for the people.
Your passion for what you do.
A new phase of life has just begun.
I can feel you no more my friend
Just as i have with many more.
But you have left memories in my heart.
I will treasure them.
I have seen too many to feel a thing.
Yet enough to feel the pinch.
However, my friend, I'm still standing.
Just like a weighted dummy,
the devil has delivered his best shot.
he has struck me down in many ways.
